The original idea and technical organization of the event are the responsibility of SAL Sistemas de Ar Livre, which manages the Portugal Walking Festival brand. SAL is the oldest Walking Tour operator in Portugal, which has been carrying out walking programs since 1996 and is responsible for structuring networks of walking routes and promotional events.

Turismo do Alentejo - Regional Tourism Entity is the Portuguese public entity responsible for organizing, structuring and promoting tourism in the territory of Alentejo (47 municipalities) and Lezíria do Tejo (11 municipalities). It is the institution promoting the event.
