The
TransAlentejo Walking Festival is the most important Nature
Tourism event in the Alentejo, with its second edition running
from October 14 to November 6, 2022.
The festival walks take place on the 50
walking routes of the TransAlentejo Network, a structure
on the ground at the initiative of Turismo do Alentejo ERT
in partnership with the respective municipalities of Alentejo.
This
is the only tourist product structured throughout the territory
and is now growing in each municipality with the Municipal
Pedestrian Trails Networks under the responsibility of the
municipalities.

In
addition to the walks that take place on Saturday and Sunday, the
event has Conferences on the themes of Hiking Tourism, Nature Tourism
and Territorial Development.
Promoted by Turismo do Alentejo - Regional Agency
for External Promotion, fam-trips will be held with international
tour operators and press-trips with specialized journalists.
Given the size of the Alentejo, with about 31,600Km2,
with 47 municipalities spread over four districts, the event is
located in four centralities, in this vast territory of about a
third of the Portuguese mainland.

the festival, a distance of 14 km, as the ascent and descent to the
Chapel of Santo António will not be carried out.

As it coincides with the Borba Vine and Wine Festival, it is not possible
to guarantee the "Fantástica Serra d'Ossa" tour.
It will be held after the Festival, to be announced within the dynamics
of the TransAlentejo Walking Festival. You are invited to visit Borba
this weekend and enjoy this great party.
